Linda St. John was born in Columbia, Missouri. Her early childhood years were fueled
by a love of reading which afforded an escape from the mundane life of the small,
college town. Several dynamics contributed to her love of storytelling, such as her
beloved grandmother’s depiction of the harsh life of sharecropping in the South.
A few years later, the family relocated to Los Angeles, California. The city offered a new
adventure other than books.

However, it was in high school that a creative writing paper captured her English teacher’s attention who suggested she become a writer. The seed was planted, but it would be years later that she would begin the journey. Life experiences led her to journaling, shortly after that, she began to write poetry in which one of her poems October was published in A Muse to Follow.

To further develop her writing muscles, Linda wrote a collection of poetry entitled
Afterthought published in 2010. Within the next few years, she wrote and published
four novels, Efosa, Afterthoughts , Dixon etc. A Shoelace Away from Hell, and Other Side of Yesterday. She is currently completing a new book Bankhead Blues.
